Matthew’s connection with Manchester University has been continued with the establishment of The Matthew Ludlam Fund which will be open to any student who has been in care (administered by the University). The fund is aimed at providing financial support for the sorts of situations where students with families might have called on the Bank of Mum and Dad, such as accommodation costs outside term time, equipment for coursework or travel costs.
TMLF continues to support undergraduate students studying town planning and most recently has been introduced to a suitable candidate through contacts with the Oasis Centre in Gorton.
TMLF continues to support the excellent work of the Friends of Marie Louise Gardens with an annual donation to use as they wish. In addition to the planting of trees, the Friends installed two benches next to the Pavilion.
